We are committed to further the development of Fr8Metrics™ as a fully transparent framework for shipping risk measurement. In this continuing effort, we would like to invite ideas and feedback from all interested parties, so as to enhance Fr8Metrics™ as a common benchmark for shipping risk measurement.

In fact, Fr8Metrics™ is the first product of what we intend will be an ongoing advance and refinement of risk methodologies, dealing not only with freight market risk, but also with other types of financial risks encountered in shipping activities, such as shipping credit portfolio risk, freight derivatives counterparty risk, etc.

Our future work will continue to draw on related advances from the area of financial risk management. There will be a systematic transfer of ideas, know-how and risk management technology from finance to shipping, always taking into consideration the special characteristics of shipping markets.
